Visit a national place of scenic beauty, Seito Shoin and Seibien. Seito Shoin Garden is considered to be the first garden in Oishi Bugaku style of gardening with a feature of karesansui, Japanese dry landscape, while Seibien the alongside villa is known as one of the best three Japanese gardens of Meiji period (1868 to 1912). The stage of the story "Arrietty the borrower"
Built in 1909, Seibien has a unique beauty with its Japanese-sukiya style rooms with shoji screens and engawa wooden porch on the first floor, and a Renaissance style with Western type windows, an emerald green roof and white plaster walls on the second floor all in mysterious harmony. It's said to have served as a reference for Ghibli movie "Arrietty the Borrower".

"Seito Shoin", attached to Seibien, is a karesansui (dry landscape) garden said to have been completed at the end of Edo period and is considered to be the first garden in the "Oishi Bugaku-style gardening".
